At this year’s Gala, we were overjoyed to reveal the breathtaking new renderings of the WOW Expansion. This bold and visionary project will triple our exhibition hall and classroom space and introduce a cutting-edge learning lab designed to spark curiosity and discovery for generations to come. With every detail, the WOW Expansion reflects our community’s shared commitment to learning, innovation, and connection. We have partnered with Pacific Development Group who will bring to life a four-story, 90–100 room upscale hotel above the museum, a vibrant convention center, a wine cave, luxury spa, and rooftop spaces designed for gathering and inspiration.  At its heart will stand our iconic centrifugal carousel filled with hand-carved representations of indigenous animals of California and the pedestrian-only Science Plaza—a stunning centerpiece that celebrates what’s possible when a community dreams big and works together.
